Zendesk integration
Support
Through Zapier or Make. We don't talk to Zendesk ourselves; we send JSON to an automation platform and it writes to Zendesk using your own connection.
A support call that ends without a ticket is a call nobody can follow up. Because we write structured notes rather than a transcript alone, the ticket can be created with a real summary in the description instead of a link to twenty minutes of audio.
What arrives in Zendesk
A new ticket per call, or a comment added to an existing one, with the notes as the body and the recording linked.
How to set it up
- 1
Create a Zap with a Webhooks trigger
In Zapier, choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger and pick Catch Hook. Zapier gives you a URL.
- 2
Paste that URL into RecordableCall
Open the link we text you after a call, choose “Anywhere else” as the destination, and paste the Zapier URL. Press Send test — Zapier will show the sample so you can map fields against real data.
- 3
Add Zendesk as the action
Choose Zendesk → Create Ticket. Use note_text as the description and template_label as a tag so call-sourced tickets are easy to filter.
- 4
Turn the Zap on
From then on, every set of notes written for your number is posted to Zapier and forwarded on. Nothing to do per call.
The settings live behind the link we text you after a call — open it, follow See all your recordings, and the destination form is at the bottom. There are no accounts here, so proving the number is yours is what stands in for a login.
Fields you can map
Every delivery carries these. Map as many or as few as you need.
| Field | What to do with it |
|---|---|
note_text | Ticket description |
template_label | A tag, so call-sourced tickets can be filtered |
caller_number | Requester lookup, if your customers are keyed by phone |
download_url | A link in the ticket, for anyone who needs the audio |
started_at | Ticket custom field for when the call happened |
The webhook reference has the full payload.
What it's good for
Inbound support
The agent stops writing summaries, and the ticket still gets one.
Escalations
Whoever picks the ticket up next reads what was actually said rather than a one-line handover.
Questions
- Will it match the caller to an existing user?
- Only if your Zendesk users have phone numbers recorded. We send caller_number and Zapier can search on it; without that field there is nothing to match against.

Don't have a recording yet?
You need one call before there is anything to configure. Get your recording number, make a call, then open the link we text you.
