1. Service Overview
RecordableCall.com lets you record phone conversations by dialing our number, adding the other party, and merging the call. After the call ends, we send you an SMS with a one‑time code to download the recording.
2. Consent Responsibility
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLYING WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL AND STATE RECORDING LAWS.
Under U.S. federal law, one‑party consent is sufficient. However, some states require consent from every party on the call ("all‑party" or "two‑party" consent). If any participant is located in a two‑party consent state, you must obtain consent from everyone before recording.
As of August 2025, the following states generally require all‑party consent for telephone calls:
- California
- Connecticut (telephone/electronic communications)
- Delaware
- Florida
- Illinois
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Michigan *
- Montana (notification required)
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- Pennsylvania
- Washington
* Michigan law is unsettled; treat it as all‑party to be safe. Laws change—verify current requirements or consult counsel.
3. SMS Confirmation
Before any recording is available, we send an SMS: "Reply YES to confirm you have obtained all required consent and agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy (recordablecall.com/terms). Msg & data rates may apply." Access is granted only after we receive your "YES" reply, which we log as written consent.
4. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Record without legally required consent
- Harass, defraud, or mislead others
- Interfere with or disrupt our systems
5. Fees & Payment
Payment is required to download or extend the storage of a recording. All sales are final except where prohibited by law.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion for any violation of these Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for (a) your failure to obtain required consents, (b) any unlawful use of recordings, or (c) indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RecordableCall.com, its affiliates, and providers from any claims or damages arising out of your use of the service or your failure to comply with laws.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
