Zapier integration
Automation
Direct. Paste a Zapier webhook URL into RecordableCall and notes post themselves — nothing to install.
Zapier's Webhooks by Zapier trigger accepts a POST from anything, which makes it the connector for every destination we do not talk to directly. You paste a Catch Hook URL into RecordableCall once, and from then on every set of notes flows into a Zap you can send anywhere Zapier reaches.
What arrives in Zapier
A flat JSON object, deliberately unnested so Zapier's field picker shows everything at the top level and no formatter step is needed before the useful values.
How to set it up
- 1
Create a Zap with a Webhooks trigger
In Zapier, choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger and pick Catch Hook. Zapier gives you a URL.
- 2
Paste that URL into RecordableCall
Open the link we text you after a call, choose “Anywhere else” as the destination, and paste the Zapier URL. Press Send test — Zapier will show the sample so you can map fields against real data.
- 3
Add your app as the action
Pick whichever app the notes should end up in and map the fields below onto it.
- 4
Turn the Zap on
From then on, every set of notes written for your number is posted to Zapier and forwarded on. Nothing to do per call.
The settings live behind the link we text you after a call — open it, follow See all your recordings, and the destination form is at the bottom. There are no accounts here, so proving the number is yours is what stands in for a login.
Fields you can map
Every delivery carries these. Map as many or as few as you need.
| Field | What to do with it |
|---|---|
note_text | The whole note as plain prose — the field to use if you only map one |
note | The same note as structured fields, if you want them separately |
template_label | What kind of call it was, e.g. “Sales call” |
download_url | A link back to the recording, transcript and notes |
started_at | When the call began, as an ISO timestamp |
duration_seconds | Call length in seconds |
transcript | The full transcript as text |
The webhook reference has the full payload.
What it's good for
Anything not listed here
If Zapier connects to it, the notes can reach it — CRMs, databases, spreadsheets, email, task trackers.
Multi-step routing
A Zap can branch on template_label, so sales calls and support calls end up in different places.
Questions
- Does this need a paid Zapier plan?
- Catch Hook is available on Zapier's free plan, though free plans limit how many tasks run each month. Check Zapier's current pricing — we don't control it.
- How do I know the request really came from you?
- Every delivery carries an X-RecordableCall-Signature header, an HMAC over the timestamp and body using a secret we show you once. Zapier does not check it for you, so for anything sensitive send the webhook to your own endpoint and verify there.
