Direct. Paste a Slack webhook URL into RecordableCall and notes post themselves — nothing to install.

Slack accepts a plain POST to an Incoming Webhook URL and renders it as a message, which means this needs no Slack app, no OAuth screen and no admin approval. You copy a URL out of Slack, paste it into RecordableCall, and notes from your next call arrive in the channel formatted as a message rather than as a wall of JSON.

What arrives in Slack

A message headed “Call notes”, with the call type and length underneath, the written note as the body, and a button linking back to the recording. Long notes are trimmed to fit Slack's block limit rather than being rejected.

How to set it up

    Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack

    Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From scratch, pick your workspace, then turn on Incoming Webhooks and choose Add New Webhook to Workspace. Slack asks which channel to post to and gives you a URL starting https://hooks.slack.com/services/.

    Paste it into RecordableCall

    After any call, open the link we text you, then follow “See all your recordings”. Choose Slack, paste the URL and save.

    Send a test

    Press Send test. A message should appear in the channel within a second or two. If it doesn't, the URL is wrong or the webhook was revoked — we show you exactly what Slack replied.

The settings live behind the link we text you after a call — open it, follow See all your recordings, and the destination form is at the bottom. There are no accounts here, so proving the number is yours is what stands in for a login.

    The commitments and next steps land in the deal channel while the call is still fresh, without anyone writing them up.

    Decisions and owners are posted where the team already talks, so people who missed the call see them.

    The channel becomes a searchable record of what was actually said, without a recording to sit through.

Questions

Does this need a Slack admin?
Creating an Incoming Webhook usually needs permission to add an app to the workspace. Many workspaces allow it for everyone; some restrict it. Nothing on our side changes either way.
Can I post to more than one channel?
Not yet. One destination per phone number. A Slack webhook URL is tied to a single channel, so pick the one the notes belong in.
Is the recording itself posted?
No — the message contains the notes and a link. Anyone who opens the link still needs your download code, so the audio does not become readable to the whole channel.
