Recordable Call

Notion integration

Docs

Through Zapier or Make. We don't talk to Notion ourselves; we send JSON to an automation platform and it writes to Notion using your own connection.

A Notion database is a good home for call notes because the structured fields we send map onto database properties — call type, date, length and a link to the recording become columns you can filter and sort, with the written note as the page body.

What arrives in Notion

One new page per set of notes. Properties come from the structured fields; the note itself becomes the page content.

How to set it up

  1. 1

Create a Zap with a Webhooks trigger

In Zapier, choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger and pick Catch Hook. Zapier gives you a URL.

  2. 2

    Paste that URL into RecordableCall

Open the link we text you after a call, choose “Anywhere else” as the destination, and paste the Zapier URL. Press Send test — Zapier will show the sample so you can map fields against real data.

  3. 3

    Add Notion as the action

Choose Notion → Create Database Item. Pick your database, then map the fields below onto its properties. Put note_text in the Content field so the note becomes the page body.

  4. 4

    Turn the Zap on

From then on, every set of notes written for your number is posted to Zapier and forwarded on. Nothing to do per call.

The settings live behind the link we text you after a call — open it, follow See all your recordings, and the destination form is at the bottom. There are no accounts here, so proving the number is yours is what stands in for a login.

Fields you can map

Every delivery carries these. Map as many or as few as you need.

FieldWhat to do with it
template_labelA select property — “Sales call”, “Job interview”, and so on
started_atA date property
duration_secondsA number property
download_urlA URL property
note_textThe page content
transcriptA second content block, if you want the full text searchable

The webhook reference has the full payload.

What it's good for

  • Sales pipelines

Notes attach to the deal rather than sitting in a chat channel that scrolls away.

  • Hiring

A row per interview, filterable by role, with the notes on the page and the recording one click away.

  • Research interviews

Full transcripts in Notion are searchable across every conversation, which is where the value in interview research usually is.

Questions

Is this a first-party Notion integration?
No, and we'd rather say so. We send JSON to Zapier and Zapier writes to Notion using its own Notion connection. There is nothing to install from us in your workspace.
Can I file calls into different databases?
Yes — branch the Zap on template_label and point each path at a different database.

Don't have a recording yet?

You need one call before there is anything to configure. Get your recording number, make a call, then open the link we text you.
