Recordable Call

Jira integration

Project tracking

Through Zapier or Make. We don't talk to Jira ourselves; we send JSON to an automation platform and it writes to Jira using your own connection.

Our notes separate action items from the rest of the summary, with an owner attached where the call made one clear. That is the part worth sending to Jira — not the whole note, but the things somebody agreed to do.

What arrives in Jira

An issue per call containing the notes, or — with a small amount of Zap logic — one issue per action item.

How to set it up

  1. 1

Create a Zap with a Webhooks trigger

In Zapier, choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger and pick Catch Hook. Zapier gives you a URL.

  2. 2

    Paste that URL into RecordableCall

Open the link we text you after a call, choose “Anywhere else” as the destination, and paste the Zapier URL. Press Send test — Zapier will show the sample so you can map fields against real data.

  3. 3

    Add Jira as the action

Choose Jira Software → Create Issue. Use template_label in the summary and note_text in the description. To split action items into separate issues, add a Looping by Zapier step over the note's actionItems field first.

  4. 4

    Turn the Zap on

From then on, every set of notes written for your number is posted to Zapier and forwarded on. Nothing to do per call.

The settings live behind the link we text you after a call — open it, follow See all your recordings, and the destination form is at the bottom. There are no accounts here, so proving the number is yours is what stands in for a login.

Fields you can map

Every delivery carries these. Map as many or as few as you need.

FieldWhat to do with it
note.actionItemsLoop over this to create one issue per item
note_textIssue description, if you prefer a single issue per call
template_labelPart of the issue summary
download_urlA link in the description

The webhook reference has the full payload.

What it's good for

  • Client calls that generate work

The gap between agreeing to something on a call and it existing as a ticket is where most of it gets lost.

  • Team meetings

Owners named in the meeting become assignees rather than a line in someone's notebook.

Questions

Can it assign the issue to the right person?
Only if the note named an owner and that name maps to a Jira account. Our notes record who agreed to what when the call made it clear, and say so when it didn't — they don't guess.

Don't have a recording yet?

You need one call before there is anything to configure. Get your recording number, make a call, then open the link we text you.
